Welcome
Hi, thank you for visiting my site. Let me introduce myself so you can get to know me better. I have been married for 36 years to my husband who is a truck driver. We have seven children ages 21 to 36 and five grandchildren. I enjoy being outdoors and experiencing nature through gardening, animals, fishing, and going to the beach. Jesus is my Lord, Savior and friend. He speaks to me through His Word, the Holy Bible. My relationship with Jesus has kept me afloat through the ups and downs of life. As a child I struggled with anxiety and later learned I have OCD. When my youngest child was six years of age my husband encouraged me to return to school to become a counselor. With my husband’s support I returned to school and obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UTSA, then a master’s degree in counseling from UTSA. Upon passing the state’s licensing exam as a Licensed Professional Counselor I performed 3000 hours of internship work. During my internship I worked at a day hospital, a community mental health center, an elementary school, an organization for troubled teenagers, and a counseling clinic. I had the opportunity to work with children, teenagers, adults, couples, families, and groups. My goal is to help clients overcome debilitating fears, release unnecessary burdens, experience emotions, think clearly, and make wise choices.
